Many farmers in the region converted to organic farming more than 20 years ago. The quality of the local produce is outstanding. The mountain huts are still run by the families themselves. Here you will find hearty, traditional Tyrolean cooking wherever you look.

There are no large cable cars or noisy hut parties to be found on the Mieminger Plateau. Instead, undisturbed, beautiful places of natural strength. So whether you use snow boots or mountain boots, hiking to a peak in the early morning and watching the sun rise over the mountains is an unforgettable experience.
The Stern inn is not only a restaurant for hotel guests, it is also a constant feature of the local village community. Here you can meet the locals and over a glass of red wine, they are more than happy to discuss the best hiking and ski touring routes around their area.

You can even help out with the hay harvest, planting potatoes, milling grain or baking bread.

Locally, people here tend to travel on foot, by bike or via public transport. When you are with us, the car can also have a holiday.
