More than just a play barn

When it’s time to head indoors, the Sternsch(n)uppen is where the fun continues.

The old barn at The Stern has become a place where children can simply get going: climbing, jumping, running, building, trying things out and spreading out properly. Its original charm is still there, now with plenty of room for movement, imagination and that wild, good energy children sometimes just need. Even on rainy days or in winter, this is where things don’t just continue – they often really begin. Much of the barn is naturally tempered, which is exactly why it doesn’t feel polished, but like a real Stern adventure.

In the fresh-air area, there is a rope park, climbing wall, warrior course, high nets and a rope slide. Downstairs, children find a racing track, games and creative spaces. And when it gets too cool outside or in the barn, the heated playroom is the perfect place to warm up and keep dreaming. Best of all: the play barn can be used freely at any time. And right at the top, the parents’ lounge with views, billiards, darts and a fridge offers a cosy place for everyone who likes to stay a little longer while still keeping an eye on everything.

The home of the Sternchen Club

When the weather has other plans, the Sternchen Club simply heads indoors – and that is exactly what this space is made for. This is where children craft, paint, cook, read, build and keep playing. The creative room is a place for small ideas with big results: colours, materials, little projects and everything children want to create with their own hands.

At the very top, the star platform adds a special place to look around, read, retreat and dream a little further. Together with the cosy room, play areas and little corners to discover, it becomes a club space that offers more than just things to do – it gives children room for imagination, quiet moments and the kind of children’s time that fits so well at The Stern.
