For our tomorrow

At Stern we embrace sustainability and a bit of “Bullerbü” lifestyle, as we say in Tyrol!

Only by thinking together can we truly make a difference about the world we want to leave for our children. At the Stern, our approach to sustainability is not to point any fingers, but instead to think of many ideas where everyone can participate. So whether you are a family, a couple, a dining guest or a local – with the Stern philosophy „I schaug auf Di, Du schaugsch auf mi“ (Tyrolean for: I take care of you. You take care of me) we are dedicated to a sustainable future together.

For over 500 years, traditions at the Stern have been passed down through generations, and for many years we have been even more consciously committed to climate protection, biodiversity and “new” mobility. We wish to enjoy both the summer and winter together with our guests, while consciously preserving the natural beauty that surrounds us. Our heart belongs not only to the people, but also to nature and we have to protect it.

„Bullerbü“ in Tyrolean

Our four children are the source of our greatest happiness and we want to provide them with a future that is happy, carefree and bright. We wish them a future like the one described in Astrid Lindgren’s books, like “Pippi Longstocking” or “Bullerbü”, even though the world around us is becoming increasingly fast-paced, digital, global and eventful.

We use the possibilities of this Bullerbü world to offer our children and our guests a new way to unwind, unplug and decelerate. Whether it’s by bathing in our larch meadows, going on fruit picking tours with Elfi or by playing in the forest playground – we focus on authentic experiences that bring us both back to ourselves and to nature. But technology does not fall by the wayside. With electric cars or e-mountain bikes, the surroundings can be explored in a climate-neutral way, with a clear conscience. At the CO2 Climate Check-in, we learn together how a stay at Stern can be made even more sustainable.

All of our efforts at Stern reflect a mutual responsibility that we share, based on our love and respect for nature as we strive together for a better future and a happier, more content self.
