THE STARS

Niklas

The savoury star

“Nose to tail, “mit Butz und Stingl” (Tyrolean for “from core to stem”). Wasting food is out of the question in the Stern kitchen. We cook regionally and seasonally.”

Gschmackig

An inn for everyone!

For over 500 years, The Stern inn has been a focal point of eating, talking, celebrating and socializing.

Regional sourcing, using as much as possible and cooking with plenty of common sense – what may sound modern today has always been part of the way we cook at The Stern. With our concept “Nose to tail”, we carry this tradition forward consciously: fresh, seasonal and focused on turning good ingredients into truly good food.

We want to make it visible where food comes from and how it is prepared. Using the whole animal, not just the fillet cuts, is not a limitation, but a commitment to creativity and variety: an ever-changing menu, fresh ingredients from the region, traditional dishes based on recipes from Grandma Adele’s cookbook, as well as modern vegetarian dishes.

Celebrate parties at the Stern

The Stern inn is a lovely place for birthdays or simply celebrations as they come. While the grown-ups eat, talk and celebrate, children quickly find their own little holiday around the house, in the playroom or in the Sternsch(n)uppen.

Cosy inside and outside

Under the old chestnut trees, it’s easy to stay a little longer at The Stern. Add the sunny terrace, the historic parlours and that feeling when you arrive: that you are welcome, and that guests are genuinely looked after.
