To be active in the fresh air, to find peace and rest, to eat well and sleep well. At the Stern, winter is closer to nature and gives you space to find inner balance and harmony.
The beauty of the Mieminger Plateau is breathtaking and it remains a place where winter retains its simple, natural appearance and appeal. Winter hikes through the larch forests, ski tours with fantastic views into the distance, nighttime sledging or doing sweeping laps on cross-country skis – being active in such natural surroundings simply helps to brush aside the stresses and strains of everyday life.
After an active day, savour some culinary delights in our cosy Tyrolean-style “Stube” room for guests, and drink “a Glaserl” (Tyrolean for a small glass) of Austrian wine by the fireplace. Relax in a quiet atmosphere in the panoramic sauna and then watch the mountains light up in the evening together at dusk on the roof terrace.
Would you like to spend a night around the campfire followed by sleeping in a hay bed? Or how about baking some crunchy, fresh bread together? Perhaps you’d enjoy a chat with the locals in the evening about the best ski tours or even sampling the best Austrian gin varieties with host René?
